ECA 2018 Convention Technology

Good Afternoon,  

On behalf of the ECA 2018 Planning Committee, I want to begin by expressing my excitement for our upcoming convention in Pittsburgh! There are a lot of great panels and events planned for the duration of the conference, and we are looking forward to having another successful convention. 

As the 2018 Convention Technology Coordinator and Social Media Director, I wanted to send out a few quick reminders as you prepare for the convention.  

Projectors & Adapters 

I have been notified by Leeanne of the approved technology requests and we are in the process of organizing the projectors for rooms needing a projector.  

We will be providing the projectors, but it will be the presenters responsibility to provide their own laptops or any other technology needed for their presentation. The projectors are equipped with VGA connections and while we will have a few adapters (VGA to HDMI and VGA to Mini Display), we cannot guarantee we will have enough available for each room. I encourage you to bring any adapters you may need to be compatible with the VGA connections on our projectors. If you do need one of our adapters, I will leave them at the Registration Desk for you to sign out for the session.  

Social Media

The Planners of your ECA Conventions recognize the ethical and legal considerations of sharing content from Convention sessions via social media. We ask that no content be recorded or broadcast by session attendees without prior notification of all session participants. 

In this vein, all Convention attendees should be aware that during our annual conventions, a team of social media interns – under my direction - are recruited to share various Convention activities (including photos and video) via the Association’s official online mediums:
