The Communication and Technology Interest Group is requesting paper, panel, and interactive roundtable submissions for the 111th Annual ECA Convention in Baltimore, MD. The convention theme, Harboring Innovation, focuses on how we have innovated to remain relevant, cutting-edge, and unique both in our field, and compared to other disciplines in the social sciences. While communication technology seemingly goes hand-in-hand with the idea of innovation, submissions should consider how we are embracing innovation in our communication technology-related research, service, pedagogy, and/or practice. We invite submissions that innovate communication technology research, teaching, theory, as well as other applications that relate to the implications of technology-mediated communication for relationships, organizations, classrooms, communities, the environment, and other contexts.
Papers and panel/program proposals must be submitted electronically by Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

The Communication and Technology Interest Group invites two types of submission and the specific requirements for each type follows:
Submission Guidelines for Individuals submitting Completed Papers
Individual Paper: A completed paper reporting original research, an extensive literature review, or other form of scholarship. Papers should be written in accordance with the APA 6th edition. The following elements will be required for individual paper submissions:
If the paper has multiple authors, submitter should indicate who will be presenting at the convention.
Submission Guidelines for Panel/Program Proposals
Panel: A program where three to four speakers present individual papers on a specific topic area. The individual submitting the panel should identify a chair who has agreed to introduce each paper and moderate the presentation of papers and any discussion. Respondents are optional at the discretion of the panelists. Alternatively, Please submit panel/program proposals is one MS Word file (.doc or .docx). In submitting the attached paper/panel, I/We recognize that this submission is considered a professional responsibility. I/We agree to present this paper/panel if it is accepted and programmed. I/We further recognize that all who attend and present at ECA’s annual meeting must register and pay required fees.
