Communication Ethics Literacy Beyond Safe Harbors Th 3/30 11:30-12:45
The goal of this short course is to help participants think about different ways to teach communication ethics that respond to the diversity of approaches, orientations, and standpoints within the communication discipline. Since its publication in 2009, Communication Ethics Literacy: Dialogue and Difference has become a defining text for the study of communication ethics at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. This short course responds to the publication of the third edition of Communication Ethics Literacy, which includes a new chapter on crisis communication and a wider array of quantitative, qualitative, and interpretive scholarship that approaches communication ethics from diverse perspectives. Each participant will receive a complimentary copy of the third edition of Communication Ethics Literacy: Dialogue and Difference.
