Don’t Miss Classes: Innovations for Student Engagement Th 3/30 1:00-2:15
This session is designed to focus on instructor strategies that have demonstrated success in supporting student engagement and learning, including: just-in-time-teaching with digital active learning tools, a project-based learning template for easy adoption, and a team-based discussion board crossover strategy for integrating online and in-person student discussions. This session has a survey orientation to maximize participants' experiences in learning multiple strategies rather than focusing on only one, and also a practice approach to illustrate easy adoption through mastery activities. This high impact session will be fast-paced and organized to provide an overview of each technique, a practice component, and a debrief using the crossover discussion strategy. Participants will leave with resources for easy implementation.
