Innovative Approaches to Teaching Family Communication: Making Connections Between Theory & Reality Fri 10:00-11:15
The goal of this short course is to provide instructors with resources to help students understand the evolving dynamics in families and provide teachers with innovative activities to engage students as they develop effective communication skills. Short course participants will receive sample syllabi for courses offered via a variety of modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and asynchronous online), examples of case studies that can be used in team-based learning class formats, sample worksheets and class activities, references to research resources for upper-level courses, and discussion questions that can be used in face-to-face or online class formats.
