The Eastern Communication Association will hold their 113th Annual Convention at a forthcoming location and date. “(Re)Union” stands as the convention theme, and the deadline for submissions is October 15, 2021 11:59 P.M. (PST).

The Philosophy of Communication Interest Group seeks individual paper, panel, and roundtable submissions centered on the convention theme of “(Re)Union.” This convention theme asks participants to re-connect and connect anew through reflection, deliberation, and learning in a post-pandemic world.

The convention theme centers on reconnection and community building. Toward this end, the Philosophy of Communication Interest Group welcomes completed papers and panel submissions which focus on themes rooted in philosophy of communication that also intersect with the conference theme “(Re)Union.” Some guiding questions may include, but are not limited to: How can philosophies of communication reunite colleagues through research and teaching? How can philosophies of communication facilitate and foster collaborative work? How can philosophies of communication help us to share mentorship experiences and move our discipline forward? How can philosophies of communication build communities following the COVID-19 pandemic?
