ECA 2022 Convention - Rhetoric & Public Address Interest Group Call for Papers

RHETORIC & PUBLIC ADDRESS INTEREST GROUP
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

2022 Eastern Communication Association Annual Convention

April 7 to 9, 2022

Philadelphia, PA

Submission Deadline: October 15, 2021, 11:59 PM (ET)

“Reunion"

The Rhetoric & Public Address Interest Group invites submissions in preparation of the annual ECA Convention. The deadline for electronic submissions is October 15, 2021. The convention theme “Reunion” encourages us to look at rhetoric in ways that promote connecting, reconnecting, and finding common ground with others following five years of political turbulence and division and the COVID pandemic. We encourage submitters to consider papers, thematic panels, and other programs that explore related issues and questions, and how these topics and questions intersect with critical issues related to rhetoric and public address, as well as the potential and limits of rhetoric to foster (re)union within the current national and international political climate.

All submissions should be uploaded to and processed through Attendee Interactive (link available through ECAsite.org).

Submission website: https://ww4.aievolution.com/eca2201/

Competitive Papers

Submissions of completed papers should be no more than 25 pages, excluding title page, abstract, references, and appendices. Submissions should include:

Program/Panel Proposal

All program/panel submissions should be uploaded to Attendee Interactive and include the following:
