ECA 2021 Convention - Media Ecology Association - Call for Submissions

CALL FOR PAPERS 

MEDIA ECOLOGY AFFILIATE GROUP

Philadelphia, PA

April 7 to 9, 2022 

Submission Deadline:  October 15, 2021

The Media Ecology affiliate group is requesting paper and panel submissions for the 113th Annual ECA Convention i and seeks submissions that explore ways in which media function as environments.  Submissions should seek to probe thoughts and ideas connected to the convention theme of (Re)union that address questions and topics from a media ecology approach.

Attendee Interactive Submission

ECA is now using Attendee Interactive to manage submissions and reviews. This is the same system used by the National Communication Association. The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.  All submissions should be uploaded and processed through Attendee Interactive.

The Media Ecology Affiliate Group invites two types of submission with specific requirements for each type:

Submission Guidelines for Completed Papers 

Papers should be written in accordance with APA 7th edition or the University of Chicago Manual of Style. The following fields will be completed for individual submissions: 

Submission Guidelines for Panel/Program Proposals  

Please submit panel/program proposals as one MS Word file (.doc or .docx). Proposals should be written according to APA 7th edition or the University of Chicago Manual of Style. Include the following items in all panel/program submissions: 

Please include the following statement with all submissions. 

In submitting the attached paper/panel, I/We recognize that this submission is considered a professional responsibility. I/We agree to present this paper/panel if it is accepted and programmed. I/We further recognize that all who attend and present at ECA’s annual meeting must register and pay required fees.
