Rhetoric & Public Address Interest Group 2026 ECA Convention

Dear Rhetoric & Public Address Interest Group members:

I hope this note finds you well, and I hope that your summer is getting off to a good start.

I’m writing on some ECA business for the R&PA Interest Group. There are three items that I wanted to point to your attention:

We have minutes posted from our R&PA business meeting at the Buffalo convention, courtesy of our fabulous secretary, Ann Marie Czerwinski. Please review them and let us know if you have any questions or ideas you want to share for our interest group.
Our program planner for the 2026 convention, Gui Caliendo, is soliciting reviewers for next year for our division. Please send me a note at tbarney@richmond.edu if you are willing to review papers and panels. If possible, I’d like to get our reviewer list solidified by next week, so if you could send your names and contact information to me by Wednesday, May 14, that would be terrific.
We need a program planner for the 2027 convention. We did not hold an election for that position at the business meeting, so I will hold one over email. I will start by taking nominations for the position. If anyone is interested in the position, please contact me also by Wednesday, May 14. After I have names, I will contact the interest group and ask for an election.
