The Department of Communication at Fairfield University’s College of Arts and Sciences is seeking an Associate Professor of Communication in the general area of Organizational Communication to direct our Graduate Program. Potential areas of specialization could include: Peer-superior Communication; Performance Evaluations/Feedback; Organizational Culture; Strategic Communication; Workplace Relationships; Diversity and Inclusion; Socialization; Antisocial Organizational Communication; Organizational Justice; Racial and Social Justice; Social Media; Crisis Communication; Leadership; Health Communication in Organizations; Small-Group and/or Team Communication and/or Decision-Making; and/or Training and Development.

The ideal candidate will direct our MA program, and will work closely with the Department Chair on curricular planning, managing course enrollment, and graduate program assessment. Qualified applicants will: hold a PhD in Communication, have credentials commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor, have administrative experience, and have a vision for online education.

The Department of Communication offers a traditional 36-hour MA and a separate graduate certificate in Health Communication for healthcare professionals. We are looking for a visionary candidate who can blend theory with practice for a program designed for working adults in the New York City metropolitan area.
