The University of Scranton Department of Communication & Media invites applications for a one-year, full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor in Communication beginning in August 2023.
Applicants should have a terminal degree or be ABD. Depending on the applicant’s area of specialty and the need of the department, the successful candidate will be expected to use their specific interest within the fields of advertising, public relations, social media, journalism and/or entertainment. Preference is given to candidates with successful teaching and/or professional experience in one or more of these areas. We value high-impact teaching methods. The ability to teach digital media tools, possess industry experience and a focus on sports a plus. The position is open to all research methodologies.
