The successful candidate will specialize in Sports Communication and teach in the Department of Communication Studies, as well as the College’s Sports Communication and Media (Sports CaM) major. Scholars whose research, teaching, and/or service advances the university’s mission for the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion are strongly encouraged to apply.

As a department with a strong history of teaching excellence, we seek a colleague who values and excels in teaching. This tenure track position also carries an expectation of successful scholarly research and publication, with efforts to seek external funding. In addition, the successful candidate will be asked to contribute to the department, college, and university through service and must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues to support the department’s mission.

The Department of Communication Studies is dedicated to an inclusive atmosphere in which intellectual curiosity and collegiality thrive. The department's atmosphere reflects the invigorating environment at Rowan University.
