2026 ECA Health Communications Interest Group Convention Programing

Dear Health Communication Division Members,

Good morning. I am writing to share a few important updates and reminders regarding ECA 2026.

Program Information

Important Reminders

  • Technology:
    All rooms will have full technology access. Presenters are encouraged to utilize the available technology, Wi-Fi, and convention-themed slide templates convention themed slides available here. Presenters will need to bring their own laptop
  • Registration:
    Register for the convention - Early Bird registration ends February 28 — be sure to register before the deadline to receive the discounted rate.

  • Hotel Accommodations:
    Book your discounted ECA room at the Sheraton Station Square. The booking deadline is March 10. Rooms are filling quickly.
  • ECA 2026 Apparel:
    ECA shirts and zip hoodies are available for pre-order here at this link. Orders will be available for pickup at convention registration. Order deadline is March 9. All Proceeds will support our students.
  • First-Ever ECA Book Club:
    This year’s program features our inaugural ECA Book Club! The selected book is Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by linguist Amanda Montell on Friday, 4:30–5:45 PM in Elwood I
    Please read the book in advance to fully participate
